Donald Gene Moore

Donald Gene "Donnie" Moore, 62, of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born Oct. 8, 1949, at City Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., to Howard Lee Moore Sr. and Marietta Sikes Moore. Donnie proudly served in The Air National Guard of Arkansas and The Reserve of the United States Air Force, Unit 0188 from 1968 to 1974. He was a member of the Rogers Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, President of Saint Vincent de Paul Men's Club, Supervisor of Saint Vincent de Paul Alter Services, Owner of Southwest Tools, Founder and President of NWA Conservation Authority, and Owner of TXS Oil. He served on the Roger's Water Utilities Commission for 20 years, was very involved in the community, and was the Founder and Owner of Novus Products. He was a faithful, active member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers for many years. He attended the University of Arkansas; was a big supporter and a true Razorback Fan. He enjoyed playing golf and loved good rock & roll music, and collecting the memorabilia. He cherished his wife and daughter and loved his family greatly. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lee Moore Sr. in 2006. Donnie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria Coffelt Moore; one daughter, Whitney Nicole Moore, Tax Attorney for the Federal Government in Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother, Marietta Sikes Moore of Rogers; one sister Carmen Maria Moore Smith and husband Mick, of Rogers, Ark., one brother, Howard Lee Moore Jr., and wife, Kelly, of Springdale, Ark. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 30th at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers with Msgr. David LeSieur officiating. Inurnment will be at the columbarium at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville at a later date. Memorials may be made in Honor of Donnie Moore to the Humane Society For Animals, P.O.
