Barbara Anne Mason, 72, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Monday, May 21, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Boston, Mass., to Neal Adams and Nancy Hollingsworth Stanford. She attended Holton Arms High School and Bryn Mawr College and graduated from Sweetbriar College, and loved teaching, especially the underprivileged. Barbara had an appreciation for the historic significance of historic events and attended the famous Martin Luther King March. She was a member of both the Springdale and Lowell Lions Club. She spent many hours volunteering at her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, working in the area of genealogy, indexing vital records. She was also a Temple Worker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Thomas Mason; and one granddaughter, Savannah Gabrielle Paula Martin. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Keith Thomas Mason; two daughters, Ruth Anne Sanchez-Mason and husband, Christian Dany, of Lowell, Ark., Beth Louise Todd Mason-Martin of Cache, Okla.; two brothers, Paul Melvin Stanford and wife, Nancy, of Stuart, Fla., John Stanford, and wife, Susan, of Leesburg, Va., Mary Susan Hart and husband, Dr. Edward, of Millwood, Va.; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2805 North Dixieland, in Rogers with Bishop Cleeo Wright officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Memorial Park in Brea, Calif. Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Barbara Anne Mason Memorial Fund to assist with funeral and travel expenses, at any Arvest Bank.
