Walter Ray DeWitt

Walter Ray DeWitt, 83, of Garfield, died Friday, May 18, at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1929, at Helena, Okla., to Sidney Ivan DeWitt and Edith Frances Montague DeWitt. He worked for General Motors as a stock man in the materials department. He is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kristian DeWitt; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors are his wife, Delores Alene DeWitt of the home; two daughters, Judy Sisco and Steve on Lenexa, Kan., and Cindy DeWitt of Garfield; two sons, Jerry DeWitt and Barbara of Shawnee, Kan., and Rick DeWitt and Terri of Commerce City, Colo.; one sister, Lula Foster of Victoria, Texas; one brother, Don DeWitt of Garfield; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation is set for Sunday, May 20, 2-4 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Service is set for Monday, May 21, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with cremation following.
