Amy Lynn Ortega-McKinnon

Amy Lynn Ortega-McKinnon, 27, of Springdale, died Friday, May 18, 2012. She was born Oct. 20, 1984, in Naples, Fla., to Orestes and Victoria Joan Wendt Ortega Jr. Amy was a loving wife, mother, daughter and big sister. She enjoyed spending time teaching her daughter, and was a devoted homemaker and caring friend. She was a member of the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association where she served as chapter head. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Joan Wendt, an uncle, Nick, and an aunt, Chris. She is survived by her husband, Zach McKinnon whom she married June 7, 2008; her daughter, Faylind McKinnon of the home; her mother, Vicky Lachance and husband Dave of Springdale; her father, Orestes "Tico" Ortega Jr. and wife Vicky of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, Orestes "T.J." Ortega III and David Lachance, both of Springdale, Gabriel Ortega of Indiana; one sister, Sara Lachance of Springdale; grandparents, Orestes and Aracelia Ortega Sr. of Homestead, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening, May 22, at the Lachance residence in Springdale with a time for sharing at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help with expenses or to CVSA, 10520 W.
