Alfrieda C. (Denny) Robbins

Alfrieda C. (Denny) Robbins, 90, of Fayetteville died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at her home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 12, 1921, in San Francisco, Calif., to Leonard and Sophie Cutler. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Todd Cutler. She was a veteran of World War II serving as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Core. She was stationed in the Philippines. She worked as a nurse until retiring in 1989 when she moved back to the Fayetteville area. She was a volunteer at the North Hills Eye Center. She was a member of Good Sam's Travel Club and Home Extension Club. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Lynn Robbins of the home; sister, Lynn Fagundes and husband Manny of Fresno, Calif.; brother-in-law, Sherman Robbins; sister-in-law, Juanita Dobrinski; nephew, Rex Robbins and wife Tina; niece, Ann Phelan and husband David; great-niece, Samantha Sismore and husband Kenny, all of Fayetteville, and J.D Robbins and wife Rosalind of Beavercreek, Ohio. Private burial will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
