Gail Louise Baldus

Gail Louise Baldus, 69, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice, Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. She was born on June 11, 1942, in Holyoke, Mass., to Samuel Astin and Dorothy De Walt Astin. She was raised and educated in Massachusetts. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Sentinella Hospital in Anglewood, Calif. Gail married Francis Baldus on May 12, 1962, in Westchester, Calif. She was employed as an electronics technician at Digital Electrical Corps. They moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in March 1998. She enjoyed needlepoint and crochet and working with the U.M.W. Bazaar Committee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Francis Baldus. She is survived by four sons, Michael Baldus of Fresno, Calif., Mark Baldus and wife, Theresa, of Hawthorne, Calif., Scott Baldus of Bentonville, Ark., Brett Baldus of Bella Vista, Ark.; one sister, Lois Peck and husband, Dennis, of Gardenia, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.
