James V. Stout

James V. Stout, age 74, of Springdale, died March 12, 2012, in Springdale. He was born Dec. 15, 1937, in Kingston, Ark., the son of Claude and Elsie Reynolds Stout. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired truck driver and had worked for Lou Thompson Trucking in Huntsville. He enjoyed hunting and lawn mower tractor pulls. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Fern Stout; and one son, Carlos Joe Sturdy. He is survived by four sons, Terry Stout and Dianne of San Angelo, Texas, Calvin Stout and Pamela of Fayetteville, Bobby Stout and Anita of Huntsville and Rick Garner of Springdale; one daughter, Patricia Sisco and Terry of Springdale; one brother, Jerry Stout of Cass, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
