Lorena May Osborn Daniel Hook

Lorena May Osborn Daniel Hook, 93, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 24, 2012. Lorena was born May 29, 1919, in Siloam Springs, Ark.; she was the daughter of Nick and Bessie Osborn. Along with her first husband of 53 years, Mr. Arnold Daniel, they owned and operated Daniel's Fruit Stand on Tulsa Street in Siloam Springs. She was a beautician and a homemaker. After Arnold's passing, she married Mr. Lester Hook in 1990 in Springdale, Ark. Lorena attended the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs and The Cross Church in Springdale, Ark. She enjoyed shopping and travel. Survivors include husband, Lester Hook, Springdale, Ark.; daughters, Doris Pond, Ocala, Fla., Sharen Ricker and husband, AD "Rick" Springdale, Ark.; four grandchildren, Debbie Singleton and husband, Kevin, Springfield, Mo., Stephen Ricker and wife, Kay, Rogers, Ark., Stephenie Davis and husband, Jason, Fayetteville, Ark., Mylene King and husband, Keith, Branson, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Nicole, Hanna and Elizabeth Ricker; Alex Davis, Brittney and Kelsey King, Stacy gibbons and husband, Micah, Jeremy Singleton and wife, Megan; sisters, Marietta Scism, Siloam Springs, Ark., Yvonne Fouts, Rogers, Ark. Mrs. Hook was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Bessie; husband, Arnold Daniel; son-in-law, Maurice Pond; a brother, Doyle Osborne. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and services will follow at 3 p.m. Services for Mrs. Hook will be held at the Backstrom–Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 3 p.m. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
