Ewing Northcutt

Ewing Northcutt, 72, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. Ewing was born April 15, 1939, in Hobart, Okla., youngest son of Unis Northcutt and Eula Pryor Northcutt. Ewing married Patsy Aaron-Woodard on June 18, 2011, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Ewing earned his bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland. He was a retired police officer of Prince George’s County, Md., and was a licensed real estate agent. He was active at his church and belonged to the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police. Ewing is survived by his wife, Patsy Northcutt; two sons, Stephen Northcutt of Lincoln, Neb., and Michael and Carol Northcutt of Rogers; three stepsons, Patrick Murray and David Aaron of Springdale and William Aaron of Elm Springs; one sister, Charlotta Tugwell of Issaquah, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances L. Northcutt. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. Pastor Clark Snow will officiate, with burial being held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
