Sabra Foley Jaber

Sabra Foley Jaber of Fort Smith passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Northwest Arkansas. She was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Fort Smith to the late Homer and Sabra Eugenia Cupp Foley. She was a former County Clerk and retired for the County Judge. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She volunteered with the St. Edward’s Auxiliary and the Humane Society Cause for Paws Fundraiser. She was the Honorary Mayor of Snow Village. Sabra welcomed friends in her home frequently; she was a gracious hostess and she made everyone feel special and loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kade Jaber Jr. Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Rev. William A. Cheyne. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. She is survived by three daughters, Melinda Jaber of Fort Smith, Melanie Jaber of Fort Smith and Sarah Jaber of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and a loving collection of misfits set adrift by her passing. Family will greet friends Monday evening, Jan. 23, 2012, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
