Pete Steinke

Pete Steinke, age 68, a resident of Rogers since 1979, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at his home in Rogers. Pete was born in Chisholm, Minn., on Oct. 14, 1943, to Walter and Adeline (Wincensen) Steinke. On May 1, 1965, he married Gerry (Berch) Steinke and they were married for over 46 years before Gerry’s death in 2011. Pete enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, hunting, camping and boating. He loved his family very much and he will be missed. Preceded in death by his wife, Gerry; his parents; two brothers, Jim and Bob Steinke. Pete is survived by three daughters, Lisa Steinke of Rogers, Tina Solgere and husband, Jeff, of Bella Vista, Eva Archer and her partner, Tim Morrisroe, of Michigan City, Ind.; one brother, Jack Steinke and wife, Arlene, of International Falls, Canada; four grandchildren, Lynne, Taylor, Nick and Molly; one great-granddaughter, Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Benton County Memorial Park’s Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, AR 72758.
