Marie Roder

Marie Roder, 86, of Bella Vista, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Jan. 19, 2012. She was born in New York, N.Y., on April 26, 1925, to the late Alexander and Marie (Jensen) Neverow. Marie received Jesus Christ as her Savior as a child of 13. She served faithfully alongside her husband as he was pastor of churches in the Midwest. She was a member of the Village Bible Evangelical Free Church in Bella Vista. Survivors include her husband, Richard Roder of Bella Vista; sons, William Roder and wife, Margarita, of Waterloo, Iowa, Ray Roder and Kristena Haslam of Bella Vista; sister, Elsie Sellman of Sacramento, Calif.; brother-in-law, Milton Roder of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with services beginning at 10 a.m. at the Village Bible Evangelical Free Church in Bella Vista, officiated by the Rev. Mark Voll. Burial will be private in Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Evangelical Free Bible Church Building Fund, 210 Town Center S.E., Bella Vista, AR 72714. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
