Suzanne Kirkland

Suzanne Kirkland, 66, of Rogers, passed away Jan. 15, 2012, in Rogers. Suzanne was born July 4, 1945, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of Elmer Park and Gladys Kelly Thompson. She formerly worked for Tyson as a shift manager for Research and Technology Department and Rockline Industries. Suzanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her son, Joe Voak; and her father. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Kirkland of the home; two daughters, Teresa Voak of Rogers and Michelle Long Witcher of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Sherri Voak Smith of Lowell; three stepchildren, Kevin Kirkland, Shannon Crawford and Marci Hatfield, all of Rogers; her mother, Gladys Thompson of Rogers; brothers, Parks, Jim and Danny Thompson; sisters, Katie Craddick, Debra Parker and Kelly Doyle; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Benton County Funeral Home. Private interment Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
