Gregory L. Young

Gregory L. Young, 58, of Rogers, Ark., passed away on Feb. 19, 2012, at his home after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He departed this life with his loving family at his side. He was born Sept. 27, 1953, in San Jose, Calif., to the late Leonard and Frances Young. He married Marsha Bench on Oct. 30, 1971, in Reno, Nev. Survivors include his wife, Marsha of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sonja and Scott Leach of Monett, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Tasha and Rick Orr of Okemah, Okla.; his mother, Frances Young of Springdale, Ark.; brother, David Young of Rogers, Ark.; and his sister, Pamela Daniel of Rogers, Ark. Grandchildren include Tori Butterworth of Rogers, Ark., Chas and Abbie Orr of Okemah, Okla., Conner Leach of Monett, Mo. Great-grandchildren are Cameron Fellwock and Presley Butterworth. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard Young; and infant son, Gregory. Greg was a well-respected businessman in the Northwest Arkansas area, known for his creative flooring abilities, including tile and wood flooring. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a passionate fisherman. His last wish was to die at home next to his window with the beautiful view of Beaver Lake surrounded by his family.
