Ralph William Tittel

Ralph W. Tittel was born March 18, 1923, in Russell County Kan., the son of William and Mary (Heil) Tittel. He died Feb. 15, 2012. He was a business owner and retired employee of the Kansas Corporation Commission. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Survivors include his wife, Gloria "Kay" (Bates) of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and daughters, Jana De Witt (Ron) of Overland Park, Lana Shults of Wichita and Fern Hess (Gary) of McPherson; stepdaughter, Lori Beiker (Bob) of Hays; and stepson Jeff Eller (Heidi) of Wind Lake, Wis.; sister, Ruth Pickering (Don) of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Verdie Peddycord and Doris Miller. Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 19, and Monday, Feb. 20, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Salina. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph's name to St. John's Lutheran Church, 302 S. 7th, Salina, KS 67401; or The Shriners Hospital Travel Fund, 336 S.
