Alfred Ray Knight, 79, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Feb. 18, 2012, in Lincoln. He was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Scranton, the son of Claude H. and Hazel Needham Knight. Al was involved with and sponsored softball teams, active in Bowling Leagues, dirt track racing in his earlier days. He retired as a farmer and business man. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Peters. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Knight; two sons, Archie R. Knight of Lincoln, Lonnie G. Knight of Silverdale, Ark.; one daughter, Linda D. Jones of Westville, Okla.; one brother, Charles F. Knight of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Betty Friemel of Van Buren, Mary Lee Forest of Tulsa, Lorene Forest and Velma Knight, both of Ratcliff, Ark. Family will recieve friends Wedneday morning from 9-10 a.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 - 10:00 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
