On Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, the best and most loving husband, father and grandpa, Doile G. Moncrief, 78, of Winslow, went to be with our Lord in Heaven. He was a devoted Christian and of the Baptist Faith. Doile was the most loving, unselfish, hardworking, honorable man in the world. He was born Feb. 24, 1933, at Henryetta, Okla., the son of William Arthur and Mary Etta Morgan Moncrief. He was preceded in death by his parents; his eldest daughter, Connie Moncrief-Preston and his son in law, Mike Willis. Doile honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and in the United States Air Force during the Japan occupation. He worked many years for International Harvester in Wichita, Kan., as a diesel mechanic then retired from Campbell Soup after 34 years as a welder. Doile loved to be with his family, gardening, fishing, and was an avid bluegrass music fan, he enjoyed watching the deer and wildlife in his front yard, enjoyed working and fixing any and everything. Doile loved the Lord deeply and enjoyed reading his Bible and talking about and teaching the Lord's word to his family. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy Pierce Moncrief; two daughters, Tammy Willis of Lincoln and Rhonda Moncrief of Winslow; one granddaughter, Charity Collins and her husband, Rusty of Lincoln; four grandsons, Jeff Mongold of Farmington, Jake Willis and his wife, Robin, Justin Willis and his wife, Sara, and Clayton Willis and his wife Candi all of Hogeye; three great- grandchildren, Carter Collins, Gracie Willis and JW Willis; and many wonderful friends. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home; Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial with military honors will be in McDonald Cemetery near Hogeye. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Mongold, Jake Willis, Justin Willis, Clayton Willis, Rusty Collins, and James Gabbard. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mike Gabbard, Juan Hattabaugh, Billy Hattabaugh, Fred Wilcox Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.
