Loucille M Phillips

Loucille M. Phillips 1917-2012 Loucille M. Phillips, age 94, of Destin passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Lou was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec. 19, 1917. She lived in the Atlanta area until moving to Albany, N.Y., in 1972. She and her husband, Lew Phillips, enjoyed their life together in the great Northeast until he passed away in 2004. She then moved to the Destin area where she spent the remaining years of her life. Lou loved the nightlife, attending and hosting parties, gathering with friends for a smoke and cocktails. Her favorite was scotch on the rocks with a splash of water. She was known for her ability to make friends, she was always the center of attention and her uncanny way to do things her way. She lived a wonderful life and was very loved by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and John Lisle of Lowell, Ark.; her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Edda Percy of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Rex Lisle, Chris and wife, Julie Lisle, and Stephen and wife, Christina Lisle; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, Olivia, Jack and Lucy Kate Lisle. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
