Edward Alonzo Miller

Edward Alonzo Miller, age 76, of Keizer, Ore., died at his home Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born to parents Melvin Everett Miller and Velma Jane Hutchinson Miller on April 15, 1935, in Mt. Comfort, Ark., the second of 10 children. He grew up in Rogers, Ark., attended Rogers Public Schools, married his sweetheart and they moved to Oregon in 1955. He loved trucks and was a long-time over-the-road driver. He enjoyed all things outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy and Clyde; and sister, Betty. He is survived by the mother of his children, Louise Wilbanks Miller Downs, Salem, Ore.; son, Tim Miller, Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters, Cindy Bradley, La Grande, Ore., Kelley Fickle, Reedsport, Ore., Rebecca Johnson, Keizer, Ore. Edward's other survivors include three brothers, Gene Miller, Olympia, Wash., Gary Miller, Sutherlin, Ore., Ron Don Miller, Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Carolyn Weaver, Independence, Mo., Connie Howell, Sutherlin, Ore., and Vickie Lemons. Also surviving is special friend, Lela McBride. At his request his remains are to be scattered along U.S. Highway 66.
