William H Farley

William H. Farley, 85, of Rogers, Ark., passed away on Jan. 31, 2012, in Rogers. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Earl and Mary Eskridge Farley. William graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa with the class of 1944. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 35 years of service. He was also active with the Rogers VFW Post 3031 where he had been All State Post Commander. He retired to Beaver Lake to fish and play golf. Survivors include two sons, Bob and his wife Marie Farley, and David and his wife Becky Farley, both of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Virginia Elliott of Tulsa, Okla.; six granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Farley; and one sister, Marjorie Snyder. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow visitation at the VFW Post 3031 at 6:30 p.m. A military service will be held on Monday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
