Margaret Alice Flaherty Pokrivnak

Margaret Alice Flaherty Pokrivnak, 93, died at home on Sept. 22, following a long, productive life. Born in Portland, Maine, May, 29,1918. She was a devoted Army wife for 30 years; an avid golfer and had a green thumb that was the envy of many. She was noted for a great sense of humor. She was also a talented seamstress. She was preceded by her husband SgtMajor Ret. Michael Joseph Pokrivnak. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Pokrivnak Jr. of Winslow and her daughter, Susan Pokrivnak of Fayetteville; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren who live in California. Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Sept. 28, 2011. Burial to follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
