Arnold "Happy" Wayne Clark, of Sherwood, formerly of Berryville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Robinson Nursing Center in North Little Rock, Ark. at the age of 87. He was born September 17, 1924 in Berryville, Ark., son of Ova and Nora Collins Clark. He served in the Army, receiving an honorable discharge. He worked for Smith Tire Company, and then later became the owner of Happy's Lion Station. He served as Fire Chief/Cook for the City of Berryville for 35 years, then stepping down and serving another 11 years before retiring. He played the role of Santa in Berryville for many years, bringing smiles to many children's faces. Happy is survived by his son, Craig (Linda) Clark of Fayetteville; his daughter, Caryn (Mike) Howard of Sherwood; three sisters, Virginia Jackson of Berryville, Dean Thiesse of Fayetteville, Frankie Clark of Berryville; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mack. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Berryville United Methodist Church in Berryville, Ark. Interment will follow at Berryville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F.
