Gary Wayne Wright, age 55, of Rogers, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at Kansas University Medical Center. He was born in Lake Charles, La., on July 16, 1956. Gary was a family man. He felt his greatest achievement was raising three strong, independent, educated daughters in partnership with his wife, Cheryl. Gary cherished the time he had with his grandchildren. He was also an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan. He frequently put on a better show during a game than the team on the field. Gary was seen around town doing errands with his faithful companion, dog, Beau. Gary was best known by family and friends for his unique and special sense of humor. Gary enjoyed his work and opportunities to travel as a senior principal consultant at Oracle. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, of the home; parents Cliff and Peggy Wright, of Jacksonville; daughters Megan Schultz and husband Nate, of Rogers, Meredith Hammons and husband Thad, of Fayetteville, and Lauren Onstott and husband Ben, of Springdale; grandchildren Melia, Reece, Landon, Hudson, and Kylie (on the way). He is also survived by his brothers, Dr. Chuck Wright, of Hot Springs, Larry Wright, of Little Rock, and numerous other family members. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Online condolences may be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
