State holds public meeting in Fort Smith on Interstate 540 proposed work

FORT SMITH -- The Arkansas Department of Transportation will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements on Zero Street and Interstate 540/Arkansas 255 in Fort Smith.

The meeting will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., according to a department news release.

The in-person meeting will be held at Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church in Rooms 209 & 210, 2828 Briarcliff Ave.

The public may view meeting material and provide written comments online beginning Saturday.

Comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Oct. 27.
