Two deaths in three days in Fayetteville highlight rising concern about pedestrian, cyclist safety

Two people were killed in three days while trying to cross one short strech of roadway in Fayetteville, part of a national spike in pedestrian and cyclist fatalities. According to a 2022 study by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), there has been a 77% increase in pedestrian deaths across the country since 2010.
