Harps named to top 10 listing
Harps Food Stores has been named in the top 10 of America's Best Retailers of 2022 in the supermarket category. The list is compiled by Newsweek and is based on feedback from thousands of shoppers across the United States. Customers reviewed hundreds of supermarket chains to determine the best 10. Harps Food Stores secured third on the list.
Hospital keeps trauma ranking
Washington Regional Medical Center has achieved reaccreditation from the Arkansas Department of Health as a Level II Trauma Center within the Arkansas Trauma System. The medical center's trauma team underwent a rigorous two-day, on-site inspection to achieve the designation. Washington Regional treated 1,141 patients with serious traumatic injuries last year.
Meteor Cafe to open second location
The Meteor -- an all-day cafe and bike shop -- announced the opening of its location in Fayetteville on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South School Avenue, The Meteor is scheduled to open in spring 2023. The Meteor has locations in Bentonville and Austin, Texas.
Group lauds bike-friendly businesses
Experience Fayetteville announced the Fayetteville Town Center has received a silver designation as a Bike Friendly Business from the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly Business Program. The Town Center is joined on this list by several area businesses that have earned gold, silver or bronze designations. They include Lake Fayetteville Boat & Bike Rental, Pedego Fayetteville, Rockin' Baker, Delta Group Electronics, Southern Food Company and Theo's Fayetteville. Designations are awarded based on metrics in five categories: equity/accessibility, engineering, education, encouragement, and evaluation/planning.
