FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas run-ruled Grambling State for the second time in two days Wednesday.

The fourth-ranked Razorbacks defeated the Tigers 13-3 in eight innings at Baum-Walker Stadium. Robert Moore was hit by a pitch with two outs in the eighth, advanced twice on Grambling fielding errors and scored on a passed ball by Tigers catcher John Garcia.

Arkansas (13-3) won its eighth consecutive game ahead of Friday’s SEC opener against Kentucky.

Moore’s walk-off run came one night after Braydon Webb hit a grand slam in the eighth inning to end a 14-1 win by the Razorbacks.

Arkansas scored runs in 7 of 8 innings Wednesday, including multiple runs in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings against the Tigers (5-12). The Razorbacks out-hit Grambling 14-11, and the Tigers committed 4 errors.

Chris Lanzilli and Peyton Stovall each had three hits to lead Arkansas, and Moore and Cayden Wallace drew three walks apiece. Lanzilli and Brady Slavens each drove in three runs.

Zack Morris earned his first victory on the mound for the Razorbacks. Morris pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Austin Ledbetter, who allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 2 1/3 innings.

Heston Tole (two innings) and Nick Griffin (one) also had scoreless outings. Griffin walked two and allowed a single in the eighth inning, but struck out Daylon Ardoin and started a double play to get out of the jam.

It was one of two double plays turned by the Razorbacks on Wednesday. Moore, playing shortstop, teamed with Stovall at second base for an inning-ending double play in the third.

Arkansas had a chance to end the game in the seventh inning when Wallace came to the plate with the bases loaded and one out. Wallace hooked a hard-hit ball foul on the second pitch of his at-bat and eventually hit a sacrifice fly to score Slavens.

It was the fourth time in as many games Wallace has come to the plate with the bases loaded. He hit two grand slams against Illinois-Chicago last weekend and had bases-loaded sacrifice flies in each game of the series against Grambling.
