David McGowan has been named executive director of nursing for Willow Creek Women’s Hospital. McGowan previously led a 20-bed oncology department, a 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation department and a dialysis department at Baylor Scott and White in Grapevine, Texas. McGowan earned his bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma at Norman and his master of business administration in health care management from Western Governors University.
Kelly Rich has been hired as Fayetteville’s first director of downtown initiatives. Rich previously was the former executive director of the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council in Florida. The Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission approved the new position with the intention the job would eventually break away from the city’s destination marketing organization to head a volunteer-led downtown Fayetteville coalition.
Frank Johnson has recently been elected to serve as Arisa Health’s board chairman. Johnson began his career as a Fayetteville law enforcement officer. It was during his 25 years with the Fayetteville Police Department that Johnson interacted with Ozark Guidance, now Arisa Health, and gained a respect for how the organization treated and helped those in need.
