Arkansas linebacker Grant Morgan (31) is shown during a game against Auburn on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, in Fayetteville.

2:40, 4Q: Bo Nix runs for 6 yards and a first down out of the timeout, keeping the Auburn offense on the field. That play was a killer for the Razorbacks. Nix has largely been great today.

3:10, 4Q: Auburn is facing third-and-3 at the Arkansas 26 after a timeout. The Tigers have run the ball five times on this series as they try to put the game away.

Auburn, which has averaged 7.7 yards per play in the second half, holds a 31-23 lead.

8:41, 4Q: With a chance to potentially tie the game after Auburn added a field goal, Arkansas goes 3-and-out in a pretty sad fashion. The Tigers will come back out likely looking to run the football and eat clock up 31-23.

10:35, 4Q: Aided by an awful pass interference call on Hudson Clark, Auburn tacks on a field goal to push its lead to 31-23. Grant Morgan made a great tackle in the middle of the field to drop Bo Nix for a loss on third-and-5.

End 3Q: Auburn leads Arkansas 28-23.

The Razorbacks got a 10-yard touchdown run by Dominique Johnson then went for 2 and failed. KJ Jefferson's pass for Treylon Burks against single coverage fell incomplete. Pass interference could have been called, but it wasn't.

Arkansas has 425 yards of offense in this game and just 23 points to show for it.

4:16, 3Q: Arkansas got stopped on fourth-and-short on the Auburn side of the field, then the Tigers dialed up a deep ball. Bo Nix hit Demetris Robertson for a 71-yard touchdown, pushing the Tigers' lead to 28-17.

Robertson beat Hudson Clark on the play. Another big-play touchdown allowed by this Razorbacks defense.

7:19, 3Q: KJ Jefferson was sacked on back-to-back plays with Arkansas backed up near its own end zone. The second time, he was hit in the end zone and fumbled. Auburn recovered and now leads 21-17.

Not fair catching the Auburn punt bites Arkansas in the backside.

8:34, 3Q: Auburn has had drop issues throughout this season. Its first one today cost it at least 25 yards and brought out the punt unit.

Arkansas will take back over at its 11 when play resumes. Nathan Parodi let the Tigers' punt hit and roll, losing quality field position.

Razorbacks lead 17-14.

10:34, 3Q: Arkansas' defense forces a 3-and-out on Auburn's first series of the second half. Hayden Henry dropped Tank Bigsby behind the line of scrimmage to bring out the kicking team. Henry now has 5 tackles, good for third most on the team.

12:30, 3Q: KJ Jefferson hits Treylon Burks for a 30-yard touchdown and Arkansas takes a 17-14 lead, scoring 14 points without Auburn putting together a true series on offense.

Burks now has 6 grabs for 82 yards and 2 scores. Jefferson is up to 139 through the air and 62 rushing.

Halftime: Auburn leads No. 17 Arkansas 14-10 at the break. The Razorbacks got the score they so badly needed before halftime. Now, with a nice drive to open the second half, can pull within 1 or take the lead.

KJ Jefferson was 13/18 passing for 109 yards and a score. Treylon Burks caught 5 passes for 52 yards and the TD with 18 seconds left. Tyson Morris has 32 yards on 3 receptions.

Bo Nix was 12/14 through the air for 141 yards and a TD, but his pick late in the first half led to a score for Arkansas. Nine different Tigers players had at least one catch in the half, and none more than 2. Tank Bigsby totaled 45 yards on his 11 carries.

The Razorbacks were 6/10 on third down in the first half.

Montaric Brown led the defense with 6 tackles and an INT, and Myles Slusher, playing in place of the injured Jalen Catalon, finished with a team-high 3 solo tackles and a PBU.

:18, 2Q: KJ Jefferson's double-jump pass to Treylon Burks from 11 yards out pushes Arkansas within 14-10 near halftime. Such a big-time, bizarre play. But it worked.

The drive: 12 plays, 84 yards, 2:35 off the clock.

2:53, 2Q: Big-time pick by Montaric Brown down the Auburn sideline. Arkansas has time to make this interesting before halftime. Tigers' lead is 14-3, but a score here gives the Razorbacks some juice.

Arkansas will also receive the opening kickoff of the second half. Huge sequence upcoming.

6:05, 2Q: Arkansas' offense is again unable to punctuate a drive. The Razorbacks were stopped short of the line to gain on fourth down. Replay confirmed the spot.

Auburn has possession again up 14-3.

9:59, 2Q: Auburn has extended its lead to 14-3 thanks to a Tank Bigsby short touchdown run. The Tigers' drive went 9 plays, 65 yards and took 4-plus minutes off the clock.

If the Razorbacks can't sustain and finish a drive like the Tigers just did it could turn into a long day. Auburn is having plenty of success offensively to this point, averaging 7.8 yards per play.

End 1Q: Auburn leads Arkansas 7-3 after the first quarter. The Razorbacks have possession at the Tigers' 34 when play resumes and will face third-and-4, where I feel like they have lived offensively for a lot of this game.

Total yards were fairly even – AU 106, UA 105. Auburn threw for 88, and Arkansas rushed for 74.

1:13, 1Q: Jashaud Stewart made a terrific play on third-and-1, stuffing then slamming the Auburn tailback and forcing a fumble, which Arkansas recovered.

Officials ruled the ball carrier's progress had been stopped and the Tigers kept possession inside their 20 then punted. Replay confirmed the call on the field. Fans were a bit upset.

3:28, 1Q: Arkansas moved the ball well on drive No. 2, primarily with Trelon Smith running the ball. KJ Jefferson also completed a first-down ball to Tyson Morris. But it stalled again, this time near the Tigers' 40.

Jefferson had a chance on third-and-3 to possibly pick up a first down with his feet, but he elected to throw a deep ball to Warren Thompson in the end zone, and it fell incomplete. I believe that is twice now he has done this today.

Arkansas punts and pins Auburn at its 7.

5:38, 1Q: First punt of the game goes to Auburn. Razorbacks respond well defensively and benefit from a Tigers tight end losing his footing after hauling in a short pass on third-and-8.

Nathan Parodi did a nice job selling the punt catch and letting a ball that landed well inside the 10 bound into the end zone. Razorbacks take back over at their 20 when play resumes.

Auburn's lead is 7-3.

7:37, 1Q: A promising first series for the Razorback stalls in Auburn territory and Arkansas settles for a 44-yard field goal by Cam Little. It is a 7-3 lead now.

KJ Jefferson hit 4/5 passes for 19 yards on the drive and also ran for 18 yards on his lone carry. Arkansas pushed the ball to the Tigers' 24, but a first-down run by AJ Green was blown up and Arkansas didn't recover.

12:16, 1Q: Auburn and Bo Nix had no issue moving the ball down the field on their first drive. The Tigers lead 7-0 less than 3 minutes in after a Nix touchdown pass to Ja'Varrius Johnson, who beat Greg Brooks and Myles Slusher.

Nix was 5/5 passing on the drive. Plenty of quick game mixed with forcing Arkansas to defend sideline to sideline.

15:00, 1Q: Auburn won the coin toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff. The Tigers will begin their first series from the 25 after a touchback from Vito Calvaruso.

Pregame

Biggest news to come out of pregame warmups is Arkansas safety and captain Jalen Catalon is not dressed out. He was walking around the Razorbacks' sideline with a white wrap on his left hand.

I also did not spot defensive lineman Markell Utsey, the transfer from Missouri who has been a mainstay in the starting lineup this season. The first-team defensive line looked to be Eric Gregory, John Ridgeway and Tre Williams.
