FAYETTEVILLE -- Restrooms, basketball courts and water fountains at all of the city's parks will reopen Saturday after being closed for more than a year, the Parks and Recreation department announced Tuesday.

Park pavilions will also reopen for reservations on June 1, according to the release from the department.

The amenities were originally closed in March 2020 to curb the spread of covid-19.

Some safety measures and restrictions are still in place at the parks. Masks and social distancing are still encouraged for visitors, according to the release.
