The Lady Purple’Dogs held off an early second-half challenge and advanced to Saturday’s Class 6A semifinals.

Caroline Lyles scored 21 points and Claudia Bridges added 20 for Fayetteville (18-6). Wynter Beck chipped in 14.

The Lady Tigers (14-13) trailed 39-28 at halftime, but pulled within three early in the third quarter. But Fayetteville charged back and pushed the lead back to double digits with a three-pointer by Bridges at the third-quarter buzzer.

Sophomore Lauren Pendleton led all scorers with 25 points for Little Rock Central.
