Man jailed after NLR chase, crash

A man is accused of attempting to flee North Little Rock police Saturday night in a stolen Jeep by passing other vehicles at 130 miles per hour before crashing at a building in the 600 block of E. Washington Avenue, according to an arrest report.

The man then fled from the wrecked Jeep Cherokee but was found by police hiding on the other side of Interstate 30 in front of the Simmons Bank Arena, according to the report. Two passengers were in the Jeep.

Glenn James Jennings, 23, of Jacksonville was arrested at 11:22 p.m. on charges of theft by receiving, criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a minor, and two counts of fleeing.

Jennings was being held at the Pulaski County jail as of Sunday night.

LR man arrested on battery charge

Little Rock police arrested a 43-year-old local man Saturday night on an accusation that he pushed someone out of his vehicle while driving at the intersection of 13th Street and Fair Park, according to an arrest report.

The victim suffered severe injuries in the left eye, according to the report.

Anthony Roshawn Bens was arrested at 9:45 p.m. on the charge of first-degree domestic battery.

Bens was being held at the Pulaski County jail as of Sunday night.
