A Danville teacher and her son died, and four others were injured, Monday evening after a vehicle veered into the wrong lane and collided with another car.

Kayla Morris, 35, was driving east on Arkansas 154 in Yell County at about 6 p.m. when her vehicle crossed the westbound lane and reached the opposite shoulder of the highway, according to an accident report.

When the vehicle reentered the lane, it struck the front of another vehicle traveling west, according to the release.

Morris' son, Landry, was in her car and also died due to the wreck.

Four people, Jade Bethel, 18, Jessica Bethel, 46, Reid Bethel, 56, and Ethan Robles, 20, in the westbound vehicle were injured.

The roads were dry and skies were clear during the collision, according to the report.

The injured were taken to UAMS Saint Mary's and St. Vincent.

The Danville School District posted on Facebook Tuesday morning that its community was "deeply saddened by the tragic loss ... Kayla and Landry spread joy everywhere they went, and we are a better, stronger community because of their presence in our lives."

First Baptist Church of Pottsville posted on Facebook Monday night that "this evening the Danville First Baptist Church Pastor's wife and son died in an automobile accident. (I don't know all the details) but please pray for Pastor Daniel Morris, pray for his daughter."
