FAYETTEVILLE -- Maxine's Tap Room is closing temporarily after two employees tested positive for covid-19, according to an announcement.

"Which goes to show you that even when you are the strictest and safest, this virus is still in our community," the bar said in a Facebook post Thursday.

Most of the business' staff received a rapid test, but some staff members will quarantine for several days, according to the post.

"We have enough staff that needs to wait 3-5 days after exposure, that we think it's safest to be closed until at least Tuesday," the post said. "We hope to continue with our regular scheduled programming next week."
