Church notes: In-person services resume Sunday

Benton County

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts Sunday worship services at 8:30 a.m. (traditional service) and at 10:45 a.m. (blended service). Sunday School for all ages and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m. Masks are worn and social distancing is practiced at all times. You can also see the worship service at www.bvlutheran.com.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-AM (790) and KURM-FM (100.3).

GriefShare is being offered on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the chapel and will continue weekly until Nov. 12. This group is to provide help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Call Dorothy Jones at 366-1700 with any questions.

The Men's Bible Study meets on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open on Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon. All food handlers wear face masks and ask that visitors also wear a mask and practice social distancing.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., is worshiping online Sundays at 10:15 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube.

The FPC Food Pantry is operating as a drive-through on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Please bring something (utility bill, etc.) that shows that you are a resident of Benton County, and the church is glad to serve you.

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, celebrates worship each Sunday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Moll, pastor. Good Shepherd Evangelical Church follows the city of Rogers' new covid-19 precautions.

For those unable to attend, the service is available live on the church Facebook page at facebook.com/goodshepherdrogers. The weekly bulletin is available at www.goodshepherdrogers.org. Members who want to take communion but are not comfortable attending services during the pandemic may contact Pastor Moll to make other arrangements.

Bible study at 8:30 a.m. precedes worship and is online at Google Meet. Wednesday night Bible study is at 7 p.m. at the church and on Google Meet.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., will continue to present its services on its website or on YouTube (search "highlandchristianchurchbellavista"). No decision to reopen the church has been made.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., will resume in-person worship starting this Sunday at 10 a.m. Safety guidelines were mailed home to the congregation and are available on the home page of the website (www.pcbv.org). Seating will be limited to maintain safe physical distancing, so please confirm you're coming to worship by calling the church office at 855.2390. The service will be livestreamed beginning the same Sunday on the Facebook page and YouTube. In-person Sunday school classes and other church activities will resume at a later date.

The Bella Vista Presbyterians team is all set to walk individually over the next few weeks in support of this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's, but your help is needed. Call the church office to make a pledge or drop off your donation or mail your check to the church by Sept. 20. Make checks payable to PCBV and write "Alzheimer's Walk" on the memo line.

St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, 1 St. Bernard Lane, is conducting an RCIA/RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults/Children) class, a faith journey for those who wish to learn about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Class meets each Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. There is no cost for this class, and all are welcome.

The church bazaar, usually held on the first weekend in November, has been canceled due to covid-19 concerns.

Catholic weekend Mass is on Saturday at 5 p.m., and on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County, 1400 W. Walnut, No. 113, Rogers, have canceled in-person services until further notice. Those who wish may attend worship services of The Unitarian Universalist Church of Fayetteville (UUFF) via Zoom with a link found on uufayetteville.org.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 2200 S.E. J St., Bentonville, continues to meet at 10:30 a.m. Sundays on the church Facebook page. The service can also be viewed at a later time on Facebook.

Larry Owensby presents a short, timely subject with a meditation on Facebook at 7 p.m. daily.

Unity Church has placed a Little Free Pantry by the front door of the church at 2200 S.E. J St. in Bentonville.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a live worship service at 10:15 a.m. Sundays. Pastor Mark Voll will be preaching. Seating arrangements have been readjusted for social distancing.

The service is also livestreamed on Facebook; streamed to Vimeo.com/user 42482704; at www.villagebibleefc.org; and audio of the live service can be heard on 90.3 FM in the south church parking lot.

The Oasis Food Pantry is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon for drive-through pickup.
