J.B. Hunt executives given new titles, take on more duties

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. recently made several changes in its leadership, the Lowell carrier said Tuesday. Among the changes are newly created roles for executives.

John Kuhlow, the interim chief financial officer since March, officially took on the roles of chief financial officer and executive vice president.

Nick Hobbs, continuing as executive vice president and president of contract services, was appointed to the expanded role of chief operational officer.

Shelley Simpson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, accepted more international services and corporate marketing responsibilities and added the new title of executive vice president, people and human services, to her plate.

Craig Harper was appointed to the newly created executive vice president role of chief sustainability officer to manage the company's environmental efforts.

Brad Hicks, executive vice president, has been named president of highway services, which includes oversight of the company's trucking and logistics segments.

J.B. Hunt said in a news release that the appointees will report directly to Chief Executive Officer John Roberts, effective Dec. 1.
