FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested a young man in connection with a domestic shooting Tuesday afternoon at the Willow Heights housing complex.
Laderius Green, 19, of 10 S. Willow Ave. Apt. 23A, was arrested in connection with aggravated assault on a family or household member, domestic battering and endangering the welfare of a minor. He was being held Wednesday in the Washington County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Officers spoke to teenage female at the apartment about 12:30 p.m., according to a police report. The woman told police she and her boyfriend, Green, were fighting in the apartment and Green shoved her against a wall and pulled out some of her hair. The woman said she left the bedroom and Green got a handgun from near the bed and shot at her.
Police said the woman was hit in the neck and a witness to the incident was grazed on the hand by the same bullet. According to the report, the bullet hit a wall and a window frame before ricocheting. The bullet traveled over an infant on a bed, struck a hanging blanket, and came to rest on the floor.
Officers recovered a handgun, shell casing and the bullet from the apartment.
