New Eagle Scouts

Edward Clark McCarley Jr., 17, is the son of Clark and Carolyn McCarley of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 395 in Little Rock at St. James United Methodist Church. He built a map kiosk at Cypress Bayou Wildlife Management Area in Ward.

Tristan Gage Payne, 17, is the son of Chris and Brittany Payne of Conway. He is a member of Troop 392 in Conway. He built two small fingerprinting boards for the Conway High School Resource Officers, and donated two medical emergency bags, which were provided by North American Rescue.

Riley C. Matos, 16, is the son of Victoria Matos of Beebe. He is a member of Troop 362 in Beebe at First United Methodist Church. He installed an American Flag Retirement box for Beebe.

John Swaim, 18, is the son of Anna and Edward Swaim of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7 in Little Rock at St. Mark's Episcopal. He repaired and repainted playground equipment, as well as built and installed benches in the Broadmoor neighborhood park.

Ethan Michael McFarland, 16, is the son of Mike and April McFarland of Bryant. He is a member of Troop 99 in Benton at Salem United Methodist Church. He organized and led the replacement of a wooden boardwalk, which provided access to a mission center, El Centro, in Knollwood Mobile Home Park in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tommy Andrew Medford, 18, is the son of Jim and Margaret Medford of Conway. He is a member of Troop 71 in Conway at First United Methodist Church. He built six bat boxes for Woolly Hollow State Park.

Alex Lueken, 17, is the son of Leanne Russell and Matthew Lueken of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7705 in Little Rock at Catholic High School. He led the construction and placement of four wooden benches for the Murray Park soccer fields.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts in Arkansas by publishing their profiles and pictures.
