Visual Measuring Cups

Pam Daniels, an industrial designer who founded Welcome Industries in Chicago with Brandon Williams, created this patented interpretation of an everyday set of measuring cups. The shape indicates each one's size — the cup is a full circle, the half-cup is half-circle, etc. — making them as useful for adult cooks as they would be for a child learning to bake. They're clear, unlike most measuring cups for dry ingredients, and are dishwasher safe. They're also compact enough to fit in a standard kitchen drawer, even when nested together.
