Why? It's open to the entire condo. Here, at my strategic spot at the counter, I can watch television. I can pester my husband, Jack. I can chat with friends and relatives on the phone. I can entertain those friends and relatives in person. I can conduct my real-estate business. I can gaze out the wall of living-room windows, which overlook our balcony as well as the redeveloping east side of the city. It's at this focal point that I'm reminded of the uniqueness of the building, which is 53 years old and unlike any of the newer condo residences in the area. I'm reminded of what drew me back here. I first moved to Quapaw Tower in 1996 and lived here for seven years, launching my real-estate career listing and selling condos here. Jack and I moved back in 2014, giving up our beloved Rivercrest home. The fact that it's a secured building -- across from MacArthur Park, within walking distance to the River Market and South Main districts, and five minutes from the airport -- made Quapaw Tower the ideal place to downsize.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Make it larger.
