Flight suspension lifted for Little Rock airport

A ground stop, which halted all incoming and outgoing flights for Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field on Monday has been lifted, according to Shane Carter, director of public affairs for the Little Rock airport.

The stop went into effect around 1 p.m. on Monday as a result of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Memphis Air Traffic Control Center closing for covid cleaning, a press release sent Monday stated.

The ground stop was issued for Little Rock and all surrounding commercial airports, the release stated.

No additional information was provided. It’s not clear how many flights were impacted, or if additional delays will be experienced as a result of the stop.

All incoming and outgoing flights at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field in Little Rock have been temporarily suspended, officials said Monday.

A ground stop was issued for Little Rock and all surrounding commercial airports after the Federal Aviation Administration’s Memphis Air Traffic Control Center was closed for covid cleaning, Shane Carter, spokesman for the Little Rock airport, said in a release.

The order is expected to remain in effect until about 2:30 p.m., the release states.
