Police: One dead after motorcycles collide in Rogers

ROGERS -- One person died after two motorcycles collided at an intersection Saturday morning, according to a police spokesman.

A motorcycle traveling east on Olrich Street ran a red light around 10:50 a.m. and struck another motorcycle headed south on 1st Street, Kevin Foster, the police department's public information officer, said in an email.

The driver of the eastbound motorcycle fled the scene on foot after the collision. The other driver died as a result of the crash, Foster said.

A red Jeep that may have been involved in the incident also fled the scene, according to Foster.

The fire department responded to the scene around 11 a.m, according to a department Facebook post.
