PHOTO GALLERY: Sculpture installation, Rogers fire, election filing

Amos Robinson, an artist from San Diego, installs Tuesday his metal sculpture Scissortails near the entrance to the Scissortail subdivision in Bentonville. Developers Bob David and Julie Vaught commissioned Robinson to create the sculpture depicting two scissor-tailed flycatchers in flight. The stainless steel birds move with the wind. A meet-the-artist drop-in event with Robinson will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Scissortail clubhouse, 4407 Scissortail Drive in Bentonville. The public is welcome.
