VAN BUREN -- Gary Phillips accounted for 304 yards and had three rushing touchdowns to lead Van Buren (6-4, 4-3 7A-West) past Springdale (3-7, 1-6) at Jarrell Williams Bulldog Stadium.

Phillips passed for 153 yards and rushed for 151 yards.

The Pointers, who will be the No. 5 seed from the 7A-West in the Class 7A playoffs, secured their first winning record since 2010.

Phillips' 50-yard touchdown run made it 10-0 with 9:28 left in the first half. His nine-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter extended the Pointers' lead to 17-6.

Brayden Rivas' 31-yard run stretched the lead to 24-6.

Jordan Owens passed for 182 yards for the Bulldogs.
