MUSIC SCENE: Dash Rip Rock performs at Stickyz; The Mix at Griffin

Roots rock trio Dash Rip Rock, along with opening acts Borealis Rex and The Frontier Circus, will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

• Jazz guitarist Ted Ludwig will perform at 7 p.m. today at The Joint Theater & Coffeehouse in North Little Rock. Admission is $35.

Ludwig, a former resident of New Orleans, will be the next performer in the storyteller series, Potluck & Poison Ivy. The price includes a box dinner.

The Mix will perform at 8 p.m. today at Griffin Restaurant in El Dorado. Admission is $5.

Adventureland, along with opening acts Tiny Towns and Way Away, will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $5.

FRIDAY

Len Holton will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at Hibernia Irish Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is free.

Holton, a singer-songwriter-guitarist, founded the Little Rock Folk Club in 1988.

• Couch Jackets, along with opening act Adventureland, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at King's Live in Conway. Admission is $5.

Ginsu Wives, Space Dingus and Bro Bera will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at Maxine's in Hot Springs. Admission is $7.

The Billy Jeter Band will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at The Big Chill in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.

Tragikly White will perform at 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

Dirtfoot, along with opening act Polyester Robot, will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at the Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $10.

SATURDAY

The Newsboys along with opening act Adam Agee, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Magic Springs' Timberwood Amphitheater in Hot Springs. Admission is $29.99, plus tax, after 7 p.m. (Admission to the park for the entire day ranges from $49.99 plus tax to $39.99 plus tax for those age 55 and older, $29.99 plus tax for military and first responders, $39.99 for children shorter than 48 inches and free for children age 3 and younger.) Reserved seating for the concert is available for an extra fee.

DJ Josue Juarez will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at First Financial Music Hall in El Dorado. Admission: $5 advance, $10 at door.

Chucky Waggs & The Company of Raggs, along with opening act Jonathan Alexander, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at King's Live in Conway. Admission is $5.

Josh Newcom will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at South on Main in Little Rock. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.

TUESDAY

Bonnie Montgomery and Summer Dean will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $5.

Montgomery, a native of Searcy who is known for her country and operatic vocal excursions, is launching a national tour that will have her on the road until Sept. 15. She is marking the release of her latest album, Forever, as a record album.

The Diamond Empire Band will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is free.

The Reverend Horton Heat will perform at 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $10.

Heat, whom a music magazine has called "the godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly," is a Dallas-based singer, songwriter and guitarist. He released a debut album in 1990 and has since released 11 more albums, the latest of which, Whole New Life, came out in December 2018.
