FAYETTEVILLE -- The School Board will interview all three people who applied for the vacant Zone 4 seat in an executive session after today's regular meeting, said board President Justin Eichmann.

The board made the decision during a brief meeting Tuesday to review the applications received by Friday's deadline. It's uncertain whether the board will choose a candidate at today's meeting. The board may decide to hold off on a decision until next week, Eichmann said.

The applicants are:

• Karen Boston, assistant dean for student success at the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas

• Garrett Richardson, human resource office manager for Walmart

• Nicholas Ryburn, director of adult education at Northwest Technical Institute

The seat became available when Traci Farrah resigned July 1 after serving for nearly seven years. The chosen candidate will have to run for re-election early next year in order to keep the seat. The winner of the March 3 election will serve the remainder of Farrah's term, which ends in 2022.
