Governor's announces appointments

Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Monday announced the following appointments:

State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission: Mike Gibson, Heber Springs, replaces Danny Ford; and Weston Lewey, Forrest City, reappointment. Terms expire Jan. 14, 2025.

Public Employees Retirement System board: Candace Franks, Little Rock, reappointment begins March 10 and expires March 9, 2025; and Van Buren Mayor Joe Hurst, replaces David Morris, appointment expires March 9, 2022.

Local Police and Fire Retirement System board: Andrew Branch, Benton, replaces Beverly Lambert; and Paragould Mayor Mike Gaskill, reappointment. Terms expire Dec. 31, 2022.

Claims Commission: Courtney Baird, Little Rock, replaces Billy Lancaster; and Paul Morris, Rogers, replaces Mica Strother. Terms expire Jan. 14, 2024.

Economic Development Council: Gina Radke, North Little Rock, replaces Mike Roberts; Mike Carroll, Fort Smith, reappointment; Will Brewer, Paragould, replaces James Freeman; Jon Wickliffe, Little Rock, replaces Ken Shollmier; and Rick Barrows, Springdale, reappointment. Terms expire Jan. 14, 2023.

Real Estate Commission: Tony Moore, Russellville; and Linda Prunty, Jonesboro. Reappointments expire Dec. 31, 2021.

Advisory Council of the Arkansas Arts Council: Rebecca Hurst, Fayetteville, replaces R. William "Mitch" Mitchell; Donna Young, Van Buren, reappointment; Sandi Sanders, Fort Smith, reappointment; Jeannie Stone, Russellville, replaces Emily Davidson; and Laura Bryan Curtner, Little Rock, replaces Hana Hatta. Terms expire June 30, 2022.

Universal Newborn Hearing Screening, Tracking, and Intervention Advisory Board: Dr. Tammy Vanover, Little Rock, replaces Dr. Jessica Newman; and Dr. Rachel Glade, Fayetteville, replaces Judith Eddington. Terms expire Jan. 14, 2021.

Arkansas Northeastern College board: Lowry Robinson, Osceola; Curtis Walker, Blytheville; and Circuit Judge Daniel Ritchey, Blytheville. Reappointments expire Dec. 31, 2025.

East Arkansas Community College board: Jan Haven, Forrest City, reappointment; Brent Howton, Palestine, reappointment; and Kevin Lewey, Forrest City, replaces St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May. Terms expire Dec. 31, 2025.

South Arkansas Community College board: Wayne Gibson, El Dorado, replaces Veronica Creer; Jose Covas, El Dorado, reappointment; and Crystal Yeager, Smackover, replaces Patty Cardin. Terms expire Dec. 31, 2025.

Arkansas Development Finance Authority board: Stan Green, Fayetteville, reappointment expires Jan. 14, 2023; Rod Coleman, Fort Smith, appointment expires Jan. 14, 2023, replaces John Cooley; and George O'Connor, Little Rock, appointment expires Jan. 14, 2021, replaces Tom Spillyards.

Board of Nursing: Ramonda Housh, Pocahontas, reappointment; and Jasper Fultz, Augusta, replaces Haley Strunk. Terms expire Oct. 1, 2023.

University of Central Arkansas board: Terry Fiddler, Conway. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2026. Replaces Brad Lacy.

Arkansas State University board: Tim Langford, Little Rock. Reappointment expires Jan. 14, 2024.

Parole Board: John Felts, Little Rock. Reappointment expires Jan. 14, 2026.

Arkansas Supreme Court special associate justice: Judge Stephen Tabor, Fort Smith, CR-18-171 Steven Wade Miller v. State of Arkansas. Replaces Associate Justice Robin F. Wynne.

Capitol Zoning District Commission: Jeffrey Jenkins, Little Rock. Appointment expires May 1, 2019. Replaces Albert Hurst.

Registration for Professional Geologists board: Glen Fritsche, Fort Smith. Appointment expires Oct. 1, 2024. Replaces Debbie Fritsche.

Arkansas Tech University board: Jim Smith, Fayetteville. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2024. Replaces Charles Blanchard.

Southern Arkansas University board: Charley Jackson, Camden. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2024. Replaces Edgar Lee.
