The manager of the Woodspring Suites Hotel, 2638 W. Old Farmington Road, called police about 10 p.m.

When officers went to Room 314, Kritzer opened the door. The officer could see several knives within arm's reach of Kritzer, a rifle and a bulge on Kritzer's left hip, according to the report. The department's communications center told the officer Kritzer had an extensive drug history.

The officer told Kritzer he was going to conduct a pat-down search. When Kritzer turned around, he tried to put a bottle in the refrigerator in the room, according to the report. The bottle was a "one-pot" bottle of a type commonly used in manufacturing methamphetamine, according to the report.

Kritzer was arrested and Altes, who also was in the room, was arrested on several outstanding warrants.

Officers found several plastic bags with a white crystal-like substance, clean plastic bags, a used hypodermic needle, plastic bags with methamphetamine, scales and a second bottle in the room.
