Interstate 49 lane closings set in Rogers

ROGERS -- Construction work requires alternating, overnight lane closings on Interstate 49 in Rogers for about a month, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.

Crews will alternate the closing of north and south I-49 lanes between New Hope Road, Exit 83, and Walnut Street/Walton Boulevard, Exit 85, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting. The closings will occur nightly, starting Monday and continuing through Sept. 16.

The closings are taking place so contractors can paint the West Magnolia Street overpass.

Traffic will be controlled by signs and traffic barrels.
