Tyson recalls 39,000 pounds of possibly contaminated chicken patties

Tyson Foods Inc. has issued a recall of frozen chicken patties that could be contaminated.

The company's Weaver brand frozen chicken breast patties may be contaminated by foreign materials, according to a Thursday news release by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The product, which was shipped nationwide, is sold in 26 oz. resealable plastic bags and are marked on the back by the establishment number "P-13456."

The bags list a best if used by date of Jan. 31, 2020, according to the release.

About 39,000 pounds of the product are being recalled.

The patties were produced Jan. 2019.
